I think netbooks can be good fits for younger kids, teens or students on a tight budget that need something mobile. I am looking at the various netbook options available for my holiday gift guide, but just today I saw the post on TechMeme from Apple Insider that Apple may be looking into a netbook for 2009. I think that would be good to have netbook options, many schools use Apple's – so many kids are familiar with Apple.
On the other hand, kids are familiar with many technologies these days and seem to pick up things so quickly. At times I find myself learning some technology hints from my 9 year old son. Just nice to know that more netbook options are in the works.
