Voice Recognition Expense Tracker

I have a background in software implementation. But when it comes to my own home expense management, I have not found the perfect solution. I have Quicken, which I find easy to use, but sometimes I get behind in updating it. I sometimes dream of just thinking about some type of magic wireless scanner that just scans the receipt into an expense tracker for me…. No updating needed, and I always know my real balance… Now just in my dreams…

Today I just received an email from V2i about a verbal expense tracker that sounds interesting. The security behind it would be my first question. Phone conversations can be easily tapped into. But the concept of verbal updates to accounts may helpful, talking on the phone is something I do multiples times during the day anyway… I wonder if I could update my grocery expenses just after checkout by calling on the phone? Hmmm….

  1. My husband has something like that. All he has to do is send a text message and his Wireless Inventory of Financial Expenditures (WIFE) automatically updates the budget… LOL.
Seriously though, it would be nice to just make a phone call and have it all taken care of.
